Katy Pinker's L3 Des Folio 2020 – Merit
Katy's folio focuses on a promotional campaign for a sustainable surf brand called Atlantis in reference to rising sea levels. She develops a logo/identity from a depth of hand-drawn ideas around mascots and ambassadors. The campaign also required shop signage, packaging, merchandise and swing tags, board designs, posters, and a website.
Some of the things that contributed to a strong folio were the initial depth of ideas, drawing out lots of concepts for the logo/identity and utilising/revisiting a range of logos to brand the campaign. The colour scheme is also consistent and relevant. She took some of her own photographs and presented many of the designs in real life situations.

Caitlin Shrimpton's L3 Des Folio 2020 – Merit
Caitlin's folio focuses on a promotional campaign for a Brazilian themed skate and surf brand called Malandro Nation and uses Brazilian colours and animals to develop a fun playful campaign. She develops a logo/identity from a depth of hand-drawn ideas that were scanned in using the Adobe Capture app and then edited in Illustrator. She's custom designed a range of fonts for the brand and a number of mascots that are then used in the deck designs. The campaign also required shop signage, packaging, merchandise and swing tags, board designs, posters, and a website.
Some of the things that contributed to a strong folio include a playful experimental approach to the initial ideas, drawing out lots of concepts for the logo/identity and utilising/revisiting a range of logos to brand the campaign. The colour scheme is fun and despite the wide range of colour it is still consistent and relevant. She did take a few of her own photos and placed the designs in real life situations.
